Riflesling m/96 Used - Stockholms vapenfabrik

It is of a two piece match type design, usually made of tan leather and fitted with brass buckles. An elaborate Model 41B leather sling, with a rubberized loop section for better purchase when being properly used in the shooting position with the left arm through the loop, replaced the more pedestrian simple leather strap and buckle arrangement used on the standard M/96 Swedish Mauser rifle. One original Swedish two piece leather target sling for M96 and M41B Mauser rifles. This is a target sling identical to Gm/41B sniper sling just without the markings. It's stamped with 3 Swedish Crowns.

It did pretty well with my reloads. @200 yards, first two were 7:00 o'clock in the 10 ring, the next three were in the x ring. Group size was about 1.5", or about .75 MOA. This is a Swedish m41b sniper. one of the early samco imports, still having the orange samco inventory tag. Although, the plastic tie has been replaced by a rubber band. Barrel is stamped, "Samco Mia Fl m41b 6.5x55 germany." Rifle is a mauser oberndorf made in 1899 for sweden by germany.
